Fed’s Evans: Inflation to rise to 2.2% with no rate cuts
Publish Date : 2019/10/01 - 11:08

Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Evans, during his speech on Tuesday about inflation, declared that US inflation in the United States could rise to 2.2% by 2021 even if the Federal Reserve refrained from making further rate cuts.

He added that, the federal funds rate could rise a little in future.

"Strong dollar usually puts downward pressure on inflation; that's something to take into account," Evans noted.
