Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman denied any personal involvement in killing Jamal Khashoggi but took full responsibility as the country’s leader.
He also added his comments about Iran’s attack on Saudi Arabian facilities. Tehran has denied involvement in the attack.
“Stupidity is the only reason for Iran to attack on facilities. There is no strategic goal. Only a fool would attack 5% of global supplies. The only strategic goal is to prove that they are stupid and that is what they did.”
He also added: “a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran would mean a total collapse of the global economy.”
He also hopes Saudi Arabia and Iran can reach a "political and peaceful solution" and the leaders should craft a new deal.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said he would not meet with Trump until economic sanctions which were ramped up after the US pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal in 2018 on the country were lifted.
