Major Asian stock indices report positive gains in press time, despite US-Chinese trade war showing no sign of recovering.
At the time of writing, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 18 points, or 0.65%. South Korea's kospi index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.48% and 0.18%, respectively.
Shares in Australia and New Zealand alternate between marginal gains and losses. Markets in Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand have been closed for business holidays.
In addition, futures on the S & P500 report 0.2% gain.
